Miriam's Birthday

We celebrated Miriam's birthday at Jill and DJ's house. We met there to pick up Emma and Joseph from a weekend with their cousins at Grandma and Grandpa's house. We had dinner and birthday cookies. Then we visited in the back yard while the kids played on the water slide and rode four-wheelers. We had a lot of fun.

Here we are singing Happy Birthday to Miriam. She's just eaten a lot for dinner, which is probably why she's not very interested in the cookie. I think I have bad timing for when to sing Happy Birthday to one-year-olds. :) (We had cookies instead of cake because we'd just finished my birthday cake that day and cookies were different.)

Miriam does not like to crawl on the grass or even sit in it yet. However, this day, the slide was such an attraction that she forgot. See her crawl on the grass.
