Goldfish, A Pulled Tooth, and Fireworks

Sarah thought it would be funny to put goldfish crackers on Miriam's head and this is the result.

Joseph's front tooth has been a little loose for a long time and it's also been a little gray from some previous unknown injury. The doctor told us to watch for an abscess and last month, one showed up, so he was put on antibiotics and got his tooth pulled. There was still a good deal of root left on the tooth, as you can kind of see in the picture. (Sorry I couldn't get any better.)

Joseph's tooth

Joseph didn't get a numbing shot because he didn't want it, so they put a lot of numbing gel on his tooth and pulled it. Neil said he was really brave and did a good job. The dentist said it was loose because of the infection, but his permanent tooth will probably come in the next few months.

On the actual 4th of July, it ended up that Neil, Emma, and Joseph watched the fireworks from Stadium of Fire near the BYU baseball field and Sarah, Miriam, and I went home. I watched the fireworks from my front window while Sarah and Miriam fell asleep. This is the view I had from my front room window. The exposure of the picture isn't great. The yellow lights near the bottom of the explosion are just the outside lights of the building across the quad, but the rest are fireworks, so I had a pretty good view for being inside.
