Solar Eclipse

We were so excited last month to have the opportunity to see a solar eclipse. We met with some friends who have a great view to the west in their backyard and watched it together. It was fun to use the eclipse glasses we'd received at the BYU Astrofest the day before to watch the sun, but it was also cool to watch it reflected on a piece of paper through a pinhole in another piece of paper. It was rather crazy to have it be darker and cooler, but not have the sky change color like at sunset.

I took a few photos with my camera lens pressed against the eclipse glasses. I got some at the beginning and at the end because in the middle, clouds were covering the sun. I'm posting the clearest one that I took. It was taken near the end of the eclipse.

We live in an amazing world.
